Minister of Advanced Education visits Lodge 146

On Monday October 22nd, the Minister of Advanced Education, Marlin Schmidt, and Chief of Staff, Bill Moore-Kilgannon, visited the Boilermakers union hall to witness and take part in our Dispatch procedure. Minister Schmidt also spoke at our quarterly Union Orientation on the importance of continued education and compulsory trades in Alberta. He assured our members that the Department of Advanced Education has no plans to strip the Boilermaker or Welder trades of compulsory trade classifications.
