UTIP Machine Orbital Course

This 5-day introductory course to Machine orbitals will cover the following Topics.

• Material Preparation
• The Arc Machines Model 227 with Model 81 head orbital machine: set up and Calibration.
• The Magnatech Pipemaster Model 516 with D-head Model 420 orbital machine: set up and Calibration.
• Program selection and welding
• Final competency assessment and certification

PPE requirements: Safety Glasses, Work boots, Cotton or flame-resistant clothing, Welding shield, Gloves

Time: 8:30AM – 4:30PM daily.  Lunch: 1 hour, lunch not provided

Prerequisites: B-pressure welders, C-pressure apprentices

Seating: 4 maximum
