How to Access Training:

  1. Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection is offered a couple times a month at the Boilermaker Edmonton Apprenticeship & Mechanical Training Centre view Course Calendar for dates.
  2. Book a course with a third party provider. Find one that offers Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection near you on the ESC WEBSITE. Members and APA’s in good standing may submit a reimbursement application for this course. Click here to download reimbursement application
  3. Book with one of our preferred providers that offer direct billing to members and APA’s in good standing. Only available in Alberta. To book an appointment, please contact the company directly and let them know that you are with the Boilermakers and give them your Boilermaker Registration Number. Please ensure that you are registering for the correct certifications.

ESC CONFINED SPACE ENTRY AND MONITOR

Type: Online or In-person

Duration: 4-6 hours

Cost: Online is $79.00 In-person is approx. $180.00, no cost to members in good standing (see below).

How to Access Training:

ONLINE:

Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry and Monitor is offered online at www.energysafetycanada.com

Email 146safetytraining@boilermakers.ca to request an access code to cover fees.

The online Exam is proctored and will require the use of a web camera. You will also need speakers/microphone and a stable internet connection. The Computer labs in Edmonton and Calgary are available for members to use.

IN-PERSON:

Book a course with a third party provider. Find one that offers the Energy Safety Canada version near you on the ESC WEBSITE
Members and APA’s in good standing may submit a reimbursement application for this course. Click here to download reimbursement application

RESPIRATOR FIT TESTING

Type: In-person

Duration: 30 min

Cost: approx. $75.00, no cost to members in good standing (see below).

Recertify: Every 2 Years

Quantitative Only – 3M Half Mask – model 6500QL series and 3M Full Mask – model 6000 series

How to Access:

  1. Book testing at the Edmonton Hall by calling 780-451-5992 or emailing 146safetytraining@boilermakers.ca

CSTS 2020 FUNDAMENTALS

Type: Online

Duration: 4 hours

Cost: Free

Recertify: No Expiry

How to Access Training:

Click on this link: https://youracsa.csod.com/client/youracsa/default.aspx

Click on Register Here and set up your profile. At the bottom click division and enter Boilermakers, choose ID 217589. You will then be prompted to choose a password.

Click on CSTS 2020 Fundamentals (you do not need to do the add ons)

Once you are finished you can print your ticket by clicking My Courses on the main dashboard. Select Completed courses in the drop down box and click view credentials. You can print off your ticket and also please send us a copy so we can update your file.

H2S AWARENESS

AUDIOMETRIC EXAM WITH AUDIOGRAM

Type: In-person

Duration: 1 hour

Cost: approx. $70.00

Recertify: Every year

How to Access:

Members: Boilermakers’ National Benefit Plan will cover the cost of an annual hearing test up to a max of $50.00.  Ask your provider for an Audiometric Exam with Audiogram. Have them complete the Boilermaker Audiogram form and the Audiometric Testing Claim Form. You can download them from the Boilermakers’ National Benefit Plan website. Then submit your receipt along with your claim form and audiogram to medical@boilermakersbenefits.ca.

AERIAL WORK PLATFORM THEORY
