Travel cards have two dispatch options:

Primary dispatching procedure is “Report in person to the Edmonton Union Hall”. Walk ins are the first to be dispatched. We are located at 15220-114 Ave.

Secondary option is posting in/registering by phone daily at 780-451-5992 (follow the prompts, press 1 and then 3) between 10:00 am-11:00 am. Provide your name, classifications and contact phone number.

Upon completion of the members dispatch each morning our Dispatch Department will proceed to dispatch Travel Cards that are here in person. When those folks have been dispatched we go to the morning’s post ins and commence calling back to fill all vacancies.

Please Note: If you are not called back, you need to reference the job line nightly and possibly re-register again the following day. (Instructions will be provided on the nightly callout.)

All jobs in Alberta require Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) and most jobs require Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing or RSAP.  Both CSTS and D&A testing can be done at various locations across Canada.

Travel Card Apprentices:  Before you are dispatched through Local 146, be proactive and provide a letter from your home local’s Training Coordinator indicating your legal apprentice classification.

Caution! Any inconsistency from what an apprentice discloses to dispatch and what is sent from their Training Coordinator, will be considered falsification of level and that travel card apprentice will not be eligible for dispatch from local 146 until they can provide a Red Seal Certification in their trade. Know what level you are!
