NON-MEMBER JOURNEYMAN DISPATCH PROCESS 

Welcome! 

We have begun to dispatch Non-Members (primarily welders) to certain projects and fabrication shops.  With the expected volume of work in the province of Alberta, Local 146 has some great opportunities available.

  • All jobs in Alberta require a Construction Safety Training System (CSTS) Ticket
  • Most jobsites require Pre-access Drug & Alcohol testing

To obtain work though our organization you now have two (2) options:

A) Register in Person
HAS BEEN AND WILL CONTINUE TO BE THE PRIMARY RESOURCE FOR DISPATCH

                                

B) Register On-Line
ONLINE APPLICANTS WILL ONLY BE RESOURCED AFTER OPTION A IS EXHAUSTED

  • Report to 15220 - 114 Avenue, Edmonton AB (view map)
  • Register on the Non-Member "Permit" Out of Work List - you will need to sign in after every job and at the beginning of each month as this list is archived at the end of each month.
  • View jobs on our web page or by audio - updated daily at the close of the working day, approximately 5:00pm

    • Call 780-414-6860 after 5:00pm for landline audio callout
  • Jobs available for Non-Members are generally updated by noon.
  • Show up to Edmonton dispatch hall at 12:45 with photo ID and Trade tickets.  Dispatch starts at 1:00pm.
  • Upon being dispatched you will be informed about any tests or training that the site may require.  Approximatley a $50 admin fee will be applied.
  • Complete the online application

  • This option allows all Boilermaker locals across Canada access to your application
  • You will be contacted when a job becomes available.
